Secure Message Board Policy
To communicate electronically with TuckerWorks clinicians, is is our policy to use our secure voicemail or the secure messaging service. You will find the message board on this website’s landing page after you log in. The secure messaging service uses 256-bit encryption, making it far more secure than SMS, email, or e-fax. Be aware that computers and unencrypted emails, texts, and e-faxes can be accessed by unauthorized individuals. This potentially compromises the privacy and confidentiality of your communication.
Policy on E-mails, Texts, and E-faxes
E-mails, texts, and e-faxes are especially vulnerable to unauthorized access. Servers or communication companies may have unlimited access to them. Although we encrypt data on our personal laptops, e-mails and e-faxes remain unencrypted. E-mails, texts, or e-faxes can sometimes be sent to the wrong address or computer by mistake.

It is our policy to protect our laptops with a firewall, virus protection, and passwords. We regularly back up confidential information on an encrypted server. If you share confidential information through unencrypted e-mail, texts, e-faxes, or phone messages, we will treat this as your informed decision. We will take it as your agreement to risk interception and will respect your choice to communicate this way. However, TuckerWorks policy requires that clinicians provide detailed responses only through the secure messaging service on our website at www.tuckerworks.com.
When you communicate with us through e-mail or SMS/text messaging, we strongly recommend using personal email and SMS/MMS addresses. Avoid using work-associated accounts. People with access to your email or SMS/MMS accounts could also view information about your care at TuckerWorks.
- Information related to the scheduling of meetings or other appointment dates and times (not to include the type of session or purpose of our meeting).
- Information related to appointment billing and payment amounts due (not to include any financial or claims-related identifiers including, but not limited to, credit card numbers, insurance plan numbers, diagnosis codes, or procedure codes.)
- Notices of communication on the secure message board from this site. Use your therapist’s secure message board for all online communication instead of email or text. When your therapist replies, you will receive an email saying, “You have received a new message from -Therapist, follow this link to view it.” https://www.tuckerworks.org/client-portal/.”
SMS and EMAIL Reminders from TuckerWorks
You can choose to refuse email and SMS notices and reminders while still booking appointments. However, if you decline notifications, you must regularly check the message board for any general updates from your therapist. Even without reminders, you can view upcoming appointments and book, cancel, or reschedule them through the website. Notify your therapist if you decide to limit or avoid using email, texts, cell phone calls, phone messages, or e-faxes. For emergencies, avoid using texts, email, voicemail, or faxes.
