Prior to doing any interventions on the couple, the full Gottman Method always starts with a very thorough three day relationship assessment, called here. The length of treatment depends on the severity of the problem we are addressing. The average length of treatment is from 6 to 12 sessions (including assessment). When the Gottman Method is adjusted to fit within the restrictions of insurance it will likely take longer. Also, it can be longer if we are dealing with multiple betrayals and affairs. The fastest path to recovery from serious betrayal is the intensive marathon approach explained here. Where couples are mainly looking to tune up and improve upon their relationship the Gottman Art and Science of Love weekend workshops are generally the fastest track to success.
Craig Tucker LCSW, CGT is an out of network provider: This means that he is not listed as a provider on any insurance panels and he does not submit to insurance. Mr. Tucker does provide a supper bill for services which you can submit to your insurance company for partial reimbursement. Mr. Tucker only provides the full Love Lab Couples assessment (a three session assessment). He also only provides services in the extended 90 minute format or in the Marathon Intensive format. Insurance may deny or only cover a portion of these services. If you plan to seek reimbursement from your insurance it is highly recommended that you verify your reimbursement rates prior to seeking treatment with Mr. Tucker.
Lisa Tucker, LCPP, accepts most insurance plans through Rula Health. Lisa adjusts the Gottman Method to fit within the restrictions of insurance: she only sees clients for 55 minute sessions and she provides the Gottman Relationship Checkup surveys in her assessment. However, Lisa is not able to provide the full Love Lab Assessment or Marathon Intensive Sessions.
